Dozens of community members attended an important meeting at the KLIA Hall on June 8th. The subject? Harmful Algal Blooms (HABs). Representatives from NYSDEC and the Columbia County DOH discussed what HABs are, why they are now more prevalent in NYS waterbodies, how to recognize HABs, and what to do when you see them.
