July 4th is just around the corner. We hope you are preparing for a perfect holiday weekend.

Kayak Rally:
Start anywhere on the lake at 8:30am using any non-motorized watercraft and race to collect tickets from various flagged locations around the lake. Bring your tickets to 9 Old West Shore Dr in Valatie at 12:00 noon to be entered into a drawing for KLC merchandise. Don’t forget a pen to write your name and phone on the tickets and a baggie to keep them dry.

We are still looking for shoreline volunteers to fly a flag and distribute tickets to rally participants. If you are willing to help, please call Pete at (914) 217-6770.

Boat Parade:
Decorate your boats and meet at One Tree Island at 1:30pm. Prizes will be awarded to Most Patriotic, Most Unique, and Funniest boats. Please note that although the boat parade is open to the entire community, only current KLC members are eligible for prizes.

Ring of Fire:
Light your flares along the shoreline at 9:00pm and enjoy the evening. Flares will be available July 4th at 9 Old West Shore Dr in Valatie between 9:00am – noon.
